Established in 1978, Lasgo Worldwide Media has become the UK’s longest established international wholesaler and distributor of home entertainment product.

In doing so, Lasgo have created a one-stop solution for their customers’ needs, delivering service excellence to the home entertainment and non-traditional markets.

From our humble beginnings in London’s Oxford Street, our success has been achieved through the company’s ability to diversify and identify new opportunities.

The journey to our current position of strength today as part of the multinational Little Group is based on the flexibility to be able to adapt to market conditions.

For example, the industry has seen a resurgence of the Vinyl market (a market which Lasgo never left). As such we were well placed to take full advantage of this growth. We have also invested in the expansion of our Visual Entertainment and Merchandise divisions to meet a growing demand for fan-based physical products.

As a result of the acquisition of Lasgo by the Little Group in 2013, the company has had access to a wide variety of group resources, allowing us to invest further in developing our I.T. systems so that they can meet the demands as our business continues to grow. This has also allowed us to expand the range of Merchandise, Consumer Electronics and Exclusive record label distribution agreements that we now offer. Coupled with access to the Group ‘s logistics network, growth for the business has been assured year on year.

In recent years the company has worked hard to build growth. 2019 saw a milestone achievement of £38m making this a record year since the company began in 1978.
We now service over 500 customers across 50 countries worldwide. With an extensive range of stock and a very healthy balance sheet, we are well placed to continue the success we have achieved and remain as the UK’s longest established international wholesaler and distributor of home entertainment and associated product.

The company has a team of 50+staff. Many have in-depth knowledge of our industry and over 30 years each of expertise in their specific divisions. Our product, buying and sales teams have built an extensive network of worldwide contacts. Integral to the success of the business is our team of multilingual staff who have a vast knowledge of entertainment product and the distribution industry, combined with a drive to focus on the customer’s individual needs.

Our long-term partnerships with suppliers, customers and logistics providers have proved vital to our success in developing a strong business model based on service and continuity. Lasgo’s internal systems and E-commerce site also offer full online ordering and FTP/EDI automated facilities.

Wholesale

Trading has been at the heart of Lasgo for many years and we continue to invest in both bulk stock acquisitions and exclusive product ranges. Purchasing product both domestically and overseas means that we are the go-to company for product sourcing.

Servicing a wealth of outlets from chain stores, independent retailers, e-commerce, non-traditional outlets and other wholesalers our market has grown year on year with Lasgo investing in new formats and extended ranges. Lasgo is truly international, currently wholesaling to 50 countries worldwide with key territories including UK, Japan, Germany and the USA followed by a strong presence in most European countries; Australasia, Central and Latin America and the Far East. Lasgo attends and exhibits at many trade shows every year.

Product Distribution

Lasgo are official distributors with a worldwide reach for a variety of product ranges encompassing music CD and vinyl, branded merchandise and consumer electronics. Our current exclusive distribution roster includes officially licensed iconic branded games, rucksacks and bags and consumer electronics brands and a catalogue of record labels featuring over 500 titles on vinyl, CD and cassette.

Lasgo are always actively seeking new distribution agreements for entertainment-based product for both the UK and overseas territories.

Information Technology

Underpinning the entire Lasgo operation, from taking orders online to ensuring delivery, is the company’s IT infrastructure.
Today, cutting-edge technology, especially in a distribution business, is a must-have. Our Orbis system needs to cope smoothly, quickly and efficiently with many varied demands.

At Lasgo, this is at the core of our business. We are continually investing in technology to work with customers seamlessly where required, bringing enhanced benefits for all parties.

Bespoke warehouse management system – The great advantage of Lasgo’s bespoke system is that it can be developed to satisfy the requirements of an ever-evolving operation.

Communication methods – Lasgo can supply EDI comms via AS2 FTP SFTP FTPS and EDI messaging via EDIFACT X12 TRADECOMS XML FixRecords CSV XLS. Lasgo’s entire operation is focused on the convenience of the customer and always aims to be adaptable and flexible to ensure that customer expectations are met.

Catalogue Feeds – Lasgo maintains catalogue feeds, stock updates and inventory feeds – both automated and in real-time. Customers can request a feed as often as they like; once a day, every ten minutes or anywhere in between. In this way, they keep their offer current and provide the best service to their customers.
